THREE KINGS A&M CLINIC – GENERAL PRACTICE

 

The Three Kings Accident and Medical Clinic is an independent purpose-built facility and has been open since 1998. The medical center is affiliated with the National Hauora Coalition Primary Healthcare Organisation and has achieved the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners Cornerstone Accreditation.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU VISIT

  1. Checking In:
  • Always check in at the GP reception/online upon arrival.
  • If your name hasn’t been called by 10 minutes past your appointment time, confirm with reception that you have been checked in properly.
  1. Seeing Your GP:
  • Whenever possible, see your regular GP or a secondary GP if your primary GP is unavailable. This helps maintain continuity of care and saves time.
  1. Booking and Cancelling Appointments:
  • Book your next appointment in advance if you need to see the doctor at a specific time.
  • Bookings can be done online via Manage My Health Portal or by calling the GP Reception between 8-5.30pm weekdays
  • You can make an appointment with a specific doctor by phoning the reception or booking online from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. We recommend you choose one of our great doctors to be your main GP.
  • Cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend. This allows another patient to book the slot.
  • Note: There is a non-attendance fee of $10.
  • Appointments for casual patients are not available unless arranged by a nurse or doctor for a follow-up visit or ACC follow-up.
  1. Helping Doctors Stay on Schedule:
  • Arrive on time for your appointment. Delays can affect all subsequent appointments.
  • Inform reception if you are running late.
  • Book a double appointment if you have multiple issues, complex problems, or procedures to discuss. Extra charges apply for this service.
  • Extended consultations (over 15 minutes) incur additional charges. Specialist referrals also incur a referral fee, and extra charges may apply for additional procedures. (See Fees Schedule)
  1. Making the Most of Your Consult:
  • Prepare a list of issues or problems you want to discuss.
  • Turn off your mobile phone during the consultation.
  • Address the most important problems first.
  • Consider booking a double appointment if you have multiple issues to discuss.
  • Bring the names and doses of medications you are taking, names of other doctors you’ve seen, and any relevant reports.
  • If you have language or hearing difficulties, arrange an interpreter or a come with a bystander to assist.
  1. Payment Policy:
  • Payments must be made on the day of the appointment.
  • Online repeat prescriptions will not be provided if there is an overdue account or does not meet the policy criteria (see our website)
  • Accounts overdue by more than $50 must be settled before making a new appointment.

 

There are doctors (GPs) and nurses who can speak English, Mandarin, Hindi, Malayalam, Singhalese, Malay and Samoan. All doctors have special interests. Please talk to our reception staff or visit our clinic information page to view the information.

 

FAQ

Q. Can you go to any GP in NZ?

A. You cannot visit any GP unless you are enrolled with them. You can only be enrolled with one GP at any time.

Q. How to register with a GP?

A. To register with a GP, you should be eligible for funded healthcare in NZ and need to fill in the enrollment form. Enroll now from the enrollment page.

Q. Can you walk into a GP?

A. You cannot walk into most GP clinics. You will need to make an appointment with a GP, and you may wait for weeks to get an appointment. Three Kings A&M Clinic has GP appointments, as well as walk-ins available if the matter is urgent.

Q. Can I see a GP without being registered?

A. Yes, Three Kings A&M Clinic accepts patients who are not registered (casual patients) but the cost to see the doctor is higher. Please see our Fees page.
