Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Risk Assessments

This is an assessment done to check your risk of having a heart attack, stroke or any other vascular event. This is done by asking you several questions, taking basic recordings and by doing a blood test.
We will enter these data into our calculator and get a score, which gives us your risk. There are other more effective ways of calculating your risk, but you will need to discuss this with your doctor.
Nurses will send you a reminder when you are due for this. You can do a blood test and make an appointment with your doctor/nurse for a checkup.
Everyone should get a check up and a blood test yearly after the age of 35 years.
