ACC and Injuries

Children, Visitors, Unemployed, retired or working, who are injured in an accident in New Zealand.    

Injuries that are covered include:  Fractures / Abrasions / Bruises / Soft tissue injuries / Sprains, Insect bites / Animal and Human Bites, Sexual violence, Concussion, Dental injuries, Hearing loss due to trauma (Work related or barotrauma), Work related gradual process injury, Mental injury caused by a physical injury / witnessing or experiencing traumatic situation at work, Foreign body in orifice – nose, ear, throat (Only if the object caused physical damage to the area), Treatment-related injury, Exposure / Poisoning / Burn with water, gas, chemical or metal etc. (Except Sunburn)

Minor Surgery / Excisions

PAYMENTS

Fees are expected at the end of a consultation and after any other service. Fees may vary due to the time taken and materials used.

Non-Zealanders must meet the Ministry of Health Eligibility Criteria for funded treatment and be enrolled in the clinic.

All other Non-New Zealanders (including Australians) regardless of age pay full (casual) fee.

Please pay your account at the time of consultation. Casual patients are asked to pre-pay.

Reminder fee on accounts not paid in 7 days is $5.00. Accounts overdue for 90 days will attract a $30.00 collection fee and will be forwarded to a debt collection agency.

We will not provide routine care if the account balance reaches a certain limit.

IMPORTANT

Walk-in/Urgent care clinic is for urgent matters and injuries only. Please book an appointment with a GP if it’s for any other reason.
GP Service is by appointment, 8.30-5.30 weekdays for non-urgent matters (AFTER HOURS starts from 5.30pm on weekdays)

X-Ray 9-5pm Weekdays and special hours on weekends

Wearing a mask is not compulsory, but recommended to avoid transmission of infections to you or others.

If you have a booked appointment. Please come on time and inform either the front reception or the GP Wing reception

If you are arriving after 7.00 pm and if the clinic is very busy, we may need to ask you to return the next day or go to Ascot Whitecross at Greenlane, unless it is an Injury/Emergency or an Unwell Child and its safe to do so.
